Consumer products can be recalled when a large volume of the product in question is deemed to be unsafe for consumer use, as a defective product lawyer in Las Vegas, NV can explain. Although any product category can issue a recall, some industries that issue recalls more frequently are:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Medical supplies
- Automobiles and automobile parts
- Children’s toys
- Electronic devices
In most cases, when a product is recalled, the manufacturer will notify distributors of the product and consumers will then be notified. Once notified, consumers will be instructed on what to do with the recalled product and how to obtain a replacement or a refund.
Below are three products that were recalled in February 2021.
- Adam’s Secret Extra Strength 1500 and 3000
On February 15, 2021, Adam’s Secret issued a voluntary recall of all lots within expiry of Adam’s Secret Extra Strength 1500 and 3000 capsules due to the presence of undeclared Sildenafil and/or Tadalafil. Adam’s Secret is a dietary supplement for male enhancement. The lots were recalled after an FDA laboratory analysis found the products to contain undeclared sildenafil and/or tadalafil. Sildenafil and Tadalafil are ingredients in FDA approved products for treatment of male erectile disfunction. The presence of Sildenafil and Tadalafil in Adam’s Secret Extra Strength makes them unapproved new drugs for which safety and efficacy have not been established. Consumers who take this product and have underlying medical issues could experience serious health risks like dangerously low blood pressure.
Adams Secret is notifying all customers by email and arranging for a return of the recalled products. Consumers of this product should cease use immediately. To date, there have been no adverse events reported related to this recall. Learn more here.

- The Toro Company’s Power Max Snowthrowers
On February 17, 2021, The Toro Company recalled 6,700 units of its Power Max Snowthrowers due to an amputation hazard. The Snowthrower’s auger can disengage when the control lever is released which poses an amputation hazard.
